Yesterday was 30th January, 63rd anniversary of Gandhi's assassination. Needless to state who Mahatma Gandhi was ! The f****r of the nation. The person who led us to "independence" and partition. He gave so much to the Indian society, to the world, to every one.
Every coin has two sides, a good and a bad, so does a paper currency. As it goes in Indian rupee on one side image of Gandhi beside a number and on the better side some image of prosperity, industrialization which keeps changing !!
On 30th January 1948, less than a year after independence with the nation gripped in violence, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on his return from evening prayer. He was shot thrice from close range in day light, in presence of 300+ follower. He was thin, old, tired and weak. A feeble 'aah' came from his mouth and he fell into the ground.
The person who assassinated, surrendered yelling “No one should think that Gandhi was killed by a madman”. He lived 655 days after that.
